Refund Policy

Table of Contents

Overview

This Refund Policy describes when refunds are and are not available for consultations, medications, and subscriptions purchased through EdgeRx.

Because EdgeRx facilitates access to prescription medications, including compounded medications prepared specifically for you, our refund practices differ in some respects from typical consumer retail policies.

This Refund Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, available at: Terms of Service

We designed this policy to be as fair and transparent as possible while complying with pharmacy laws that limit the return of dispensed medications and with Federal Trade Commission guidance on subscription cancellation.

If any part of this policy is unclear, contact us at team@edgerx.com before making a purchase.

Consultation Fees

Consultation fees cover the cost of your intake being reviewed by a licensed provider in the Wizlo network and, where applicable, the provider’s time in evaluating your case.

  • If a provider reviews your intake and determines that treatment is not clinically appropriate for you, any consultation fee paid for that specific consultation will be refunded in full.
  • If a provider accepts you as a patient and completes a consultation, the consultation fee is considered earned and is generally non-refundable because the clinical service has already been provided.
  • If you cancel a scheduled consultation before it is reviewed or conducted, any fee paid for that specific consultation will be refunded, subject to the cancellation timing disclosed at the time of scheduling.

Compounded and Prescription Medications

Generally Not Refundable Once Dispensed

Once a prescription medication, including a compounded medication, has been dispensed and shipped by a licensed pharmacy, it is generally not eligible for return or refund.

This reflects pharmacy laws and safety regulations that prohibit the resale, reuse, or return of dispensed prescription medications once they have left a licensed pharmacy’s custody.

Pharmacies cannot verify the storage, handling, or integrity of medication after it has been shipped to a patient.

This general rule does not apply to:

  • Medications that were never dispensed
  • Orders canceled before pharmacy fulfillment
  • Damaged shipments
  • Defective shipments
  • Incorrect shipments

Why This Policy Exists

State boards of pharmacy generally prohibit pharmacies from accepting returned prescription medications for redispensing.

Once medication leaves a licensed pharmacy, the pharmacy can no longer confirm how it was stored, handled, or transported.

Compounded medications are often prepared specifically for an individual prescription and cannot be restocked or resold after they have been compounded and dispensed.

EdgeRx cannot override these pharmacy-law restrictions.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Shipments

If you receive medication that:

  • Arrives damaged
  • Appears defective
  • Was shipped in a way that may have compromised its integrity
  • Is not the medication you ordered

Contact us within a reasonable time after delivery and within any timeframe stated at checkout or in your order confirmation.

We will work with you and the fulfilling pharmacy to investigate the issue.

Where appropriate, we may arrange:

  • A replacement at no additional cost
  • A refund where replacement is not appropriate

Do not use medication you believe to be damaged, defective, incorrect, or compromised.

Contact us or your provider before taking any further doses.

To help us investigate, please retain:

  • The original packaging
  • Your order number
  • Photographs of the item as received, where possible

The fulfilling pharmacy may review the relevant batch or lot as part of the investigation.

Subscription Cancellation

Click-to-Cancel

You may cancel your EdgeRx subscription at any time using a method that is at least as easy as the method used to sign up.

You may cancel:

  1. Through your account settings in the patient portal.
  2. By contacting team@edgerx.com.

We will not require you to:

  • Call a phone line
  • Speak with a retention agent
  • Complete unnecessary additional steps
  • Navigate hidden or misleading cancellation flows

Billing and Timing

Subscriptions renew automatically according to the applicable billing cycle, including monthly or quarterly billing, until canceled.

To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel before your next scheduled billing date.

Canceling a subscription does not automatically provide a refund for the current billing cycle already charged, except as otherwise stated in this policy or required by law.

No Cancellation Fees

EdgeRx does not charge a fee to cancel a subscription.

Prorated Refunds

We do not generally provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods when a subscription is canceled mid-cycle.

An exception may apply where:

  • Required by applicable law
  • A provider is unable to continue treatment for clinical reasons
  • Unused and undispensed subscription value remains

In those circumstances, EdgeRx may evaluate a prorated refund on a case-by-case basis.

Missed Doses and Unused Product

Refunds are not provided for:

  • Missed doses
  • Doses not taken
  • Product left unused by personal choice
  • A decision to discontinue treatment after medication has already been dispensed

If you experience side effects or concerns about your treatment, contact your provider through the patient portal before stopping or changing your medication.

Titration Kits

Titration kits are starter kits designed to gradually increase dosing over an initial period and may be used for products such as semaglutide or tirzepatide compounds.

Titration kits are dispensed as complete, prescription-specific kits.

Once dispensed, they are subject to the same non-refundable medication policy described above.

If a specific vial or component arrives damaged, defective, or compromised, contact us under the Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Shipments section.

Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting EdgeRx to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to suspend your account and any active subscription while the dispute is investigated.

We encourage you to contact team@edgerx.com first, as many issues can be resolved more quickly through direct support.

A chargeback involving medication properly dispensed under a valid prescription may be contested with the payment provider.

Refund Method and Timing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Please allow a reasonable number of business days for EdgeRx to process the refund.

Your bank or card issuer may require additional time to post the refund to your account.

If the original payment method is no longer available, EdgeRx will contact you to arrange an alternative refund method.
